Patrol UK
Hi I know this thread is a bit old but I'm new to this so thought I'd add my penny's worth. Re: French Nissan Clubs......? Living as I do in France, I've looked around the few mags I've bought and some of the French language websites and as far as I can see there is no Nissan 4x4 specific Club. this...

Gear box ..... possible problems
HiThis is more of a general mechanical question, as my knowledge of this mechanical stops at a two stroke scooter. I've noticed that when cold the gears catch or can be difficult to select. This disappears once the engine is hot. Does this mean there is wear on the gear sync or is it normal on these...

4x4 usage
Hi I've seen advice not only to my previous question but to others too, not to engage 4x4 on the pavement. Why is this? Other than increased feul consumption is there any danger to driving with four motorised wheels on a tarmac'd road? Cheers Gareth

Cheers Foxie On short journies when I know I'm going offroad I leave them locked now, unlocking when I'm going out onto a motorway for instance. We've had both snow followed by torrential rain which was a piece of cake for a 4WD, I even helped a guy in a van out today who got bogged down. It's a big...

Apologies & Thanks
Hi Sorry if I jumped prematurely to any conclusions about the club, that was not fair of me and I apologise. I would like to thank those who replied as you have answered my question and set my mind to rest that I won't risk damaging the car. Most of my driving is part on road part off road so I...

Wheel Locks
Hi I've just acquired a 1989 Nissan Ebro Patrol, and was wondering if there is any problem with leaving the front wheels in the LOCK position when in 2WD over short distances. I do a lot of track and offroad driving around lakes etc but need to use public roads to get there. It is a bit if a pain, e...
