Patrol in the Snow 1979
My Patrol in the snow, 1979. That's my Dad in the picture. The red car is a 1967 Datsun SSS sedan with the 1600 dual carb engine.

Re: Patrol in the Snow 1979
RiverPatrol, that was only about 5 years later than my avatar and probably didn't have many more miles on it. We (family) have owned it since new, first my family's Datsun dealership had it as a plow and tow vehicle, then my Dad took it when the dealership was closed.
My Dad told the story many times about a guy who came by the dealership with a Jeep, and was sort of interested in a Patrol. He said they were ok but would never pull like his Jeep, and my Dad said let's see. So they chained the Jeep and this same Patrol together back-to-back. The Patrol pulled the Jeep across the parking lot and didn't break a sweat.

Yes, it's a 1967 RL411 SSS with the dual carb 1600 engine. The dealership sold a lot of the RL411s.
