That is a nice looking Patrol! I’ve had two red Patrols, and it was never my favorite color for a Patrol, but it really works on this one.

Thank you, I think the paint needs to match the age of the vehicle for the mind's eye to say...yes. Too bad this one is rusty. 34,000 miles on it .... original soft top.

Greetings from The Lair,

In order to give The Sleigh the dignity it deserves we have field modified the window bumpers. Last night they kinda worked. The goal is to prevent the hood from flexing when we hit a bump. Bad for hunting.

We will see.

L60Boerne... on patrol

David, I applaud you for using your Patrols for what they were designed for - actual offroading and hunting!

Greetings from the field,

The Patrol was advertised as the perfect hunting vehicle....so I've been hunting!

It was an old buck past breeding and on the way down.

We are actually overrun with these, Axis deer. The morning farm report is offering methods of containing them.

Our neighborhood has a standing population of about 500. Once over that population they trap and send them on vacation somewhere.

They are very wild at The Lair. It was a perfect stalk with the setting sun at my back and the wind in my face.

After they fled I tracked the two bucks and found them laying down. Once the larger buck stood up i made an offhand shot . It was dead when it hit the ground.

If you know axis meat...it is the best of the deer family so three hours later it was ready for the freezer.

Patrolling in paradise,
L60BOERNE
