I am going to try to resurrect this thread.... I am currently restoring a 1966 Patrol. I am somewhat confused by the wiring.. surprise surprise Did Nissan make significant changes to the electrical system that year? My unit is wired with a POSITIVE GROUND. Is this correct for early 66 models? All the wiring diagrams I have seen for the patrol show it to be a Negative Ground system. the other differences I have noticed with the 66 compared to the 67 model are:
1. Screw connectors on the Gauge cluster as opposed to the spade terminals seen on later models
2. No 9 volt regulator for the Gauges
3. Generator as opposed to an alternator.
Am I correct? Any other differences between the 66 and 67.
additionally does anyone have a copy of the wiring diagram for 65 or earlier that includes the wiring color codes?
thanks, poinrobe
