92 Wellcraft Excel 20SX Ski Boat

Purchased this 92 Wellcraft Excel SX20 several months ago. Volvo 4.3L with Volvo SP-C Outdrive. Engine runs like a dream. Due to the inability to easily change the oil on this engine, as well as most other inboards, I relocated the oil filter and installed an electric oil pump system. Will make changing the oil easy and efficient. So far, I've changed the following on the boat:

> Replaced bellows (U-joint & Exhaust)
> Replaced Outdrive suction hose
> Replaced Outdrive oil
> Replaced Spark plugs
> Replaced V-belt
> Replaced Engine oil & filter
> Replaced Fuel filter/Water separator filter
> Replaced Distributor cap/rotor
> Replaced Impeller
> Replaced Thermostat

Note: Reinstalling the outdrive and aligning the u-joint is a major pain but my son and I managed it.

Next step.......drop in the water and check the operation then buff and wax.

It does need a new floor and a little interior work but will do as time permits....... More pictures (including ski pictures....lol) soon!

Perfect size at 20' with the open bow. Tons of fun, can't wait to see the action shots.

Thanks so much. It has fun written all over it. I'd imagine that engine was dwesigned for different applications as per the oil filter.....nice addition with the pump system.
