What are these engine accessories?
I noticed these items in the picture that are not on my '67 engine. I was curious what they are.

Re: What are these engine accessories?
"A" appears that you are pointing to the engine lift point.. a small bolted on bracket..
"B" looks like you are highlighting the oil filter housing
"C" appears to be circling the old style crank case vent tube....

Re: What are these engine accessories?
ok, i feel a bit dumb now. I have the oil filter on mine - but for some reason I didn't make the connection from the picture. For the crankcase vent - did that get discontinued prior to '67 or should I have one of those on mine?

The crank vent tube was changed to a valve cover vent around '65.
Beyond any hope for intervention

Only in the US, and probably Australia and New Zealand. "Emerging markets" kept the vent tube until the end.

Really? I didn't know that. I am surprised that Nissan would have done this, causing them to support two different types of engines.Esteban wrote:RiverPatrol wrote:The crank vent tube was changed to a valve cover vent around '65.
