This is a very rare Nissan patrol. Bought last year in rough, non running condition, and brought it back to life. This Nissan is from 1967 and is primed and cleared with rattle can paint, and I have done some minor dent and rust repair. Has factory Nissan straight 6 with three speed tranny. GM one wire alternator, everything else factory.Has a Lincoln locked rear end, which is out of a 66' jeep so the rear is 5 lug. brand new manual locking hubs. 9k pound winch with wireless remote. Co2 tank in rear for pneumatic tools and pumping up the tires after a offroad run. 2in shackle lift in the front and rear and BFG 31 12.50's. the tires has a little bit of tread left and should last a while offroad. Extra bring lights for riding at night. It cranks up and runs perfect, the battery might need replacing when it cranks it cranks but if it sits for a few days it lags or won't do anything. The patrol isn't fully restored but it has been tagged and insured in Georgia and ready to go. This would make someone a great project or offroad toy. Mainly trying to sell, but would be interested in trading for anything datsun or nissan cars. or anything with a sr20 rb25 and turbo. or another offroad toy such as a jeep Cherokee or Toyota that is basically offroad only. Price is $4500 but is negotiable. Call weekdays after 6 or text anytime at ( seven seven 0 876 7503 ) more pictures at request.

there are a couple of off set jeep axles, narrow track jeeps that had quadratrack transfercases would have them.. but they would be 6lug. I'm thinking maybe off a pre pre mid 70's jeep with the T18/T19 had an offset transfercase..

The offset quadra-trac rear axle used in the earlier Jeep CJ7's (76-79) would have been a 5-Lug, and would also be narrow enough to fit under a 60 Patrol.

But, they used an AMC model 20 differential, which is a notoriously weak diff, especially when you gear it down to 4.10 in order to match the Patrol's front ratio; and the axle shafts are not that strong, either.

So, while this axle is the correct width, and would bolt up under the rear of a Patrol reasonably easily, it would not be nearly as strong as the original rearend, unless you used top quality gears, an aftermarket locker with a beefier carrier, and beefier axle shafts from either Currie or Strange Engineering.

Plus, I'm not sure if the Jeep used the same size U-joint as the Patrol? Might need to weld a new tail onto the rear of the Nissan driveshaft to hook it up to the Jeep pinion yoke

Yup, and there was also a 5 lug early Scout axle that had an offset dana 44 rear diff as well.

Plus the popular Toyota FJ40 offset rear diff, which would also match the Patrol's 6 lug wheel pattern.

Hmm- there seem to be quite a few offset rear axle options out there when you think about it.
