Uh oh- good idea about gettting those brakes checked out- when drum brakes start getting "grabby" it can be something as easy as improper adjustment, but it can also mean oil, or brake fluid leaking into the drum.

the old rule of thumb- water in the drum makes them slip, oil or brake fluid in the drum makes them do the opposite...

Bad news, my business is growing and I need the room in the warehouse so the Patrol has to move on to another owner. The roadster is taking up the space in my garage so I have nowhere to park the Patrol safely anymore. I am still taking it to the Williams, Az. Datsun Show next month http://www.nostalgicdatsun.com but after that the old man is going on Craigslist.

Sorry to hear that the Patrol needs to find a new home. Williams should be great. One day I'll make it to that show. It's building up to be another Shasta. :)

Williams is a neat little town- I spent MANY days fishing for trout in the lakes around there back when I was in college at NAU a billion years ago...

That town is the perfect setting for a Patrol

Good news for the Patrol owners.
I won diamond in the rough at the 3rd Annual Nostalgic Datsun Meet in Williams AZ.
What an experience on taking it out for the first time, the Datsun guys where
amazed! most had never seen one before or didn't even know that Nissan made
a "land cruiser". I'll post some photos when I get on a real computer that can
resize them.

My brother and I attended this show in our 65' and 75' Datsun pickups. We took 1st place in our respected classes and you can be sure we casted our vote in your direction for the "Diamond in the Rough" category. Did you decide whether or not to keep it ?
