I have two styles of rubber windshield rests:

They both have a concave profile on the top.
Does anyone know what years the variations were installed?
(BTW, Huabtais has made great replacement sets in the past. I received a set in 2011 and they have excellent craftsmanship.)
Thanks,
Keith

Re: Rubber Windshield Rests
The holes are the same on my 62 (sans rests) and 65.....and the 65 has the threaded ones. BTW, I have a feeling that the concave part is a byproduct of expansion/contraction/weather.?

Re: Rubber Windshield Rests
Good question! My memory fails me now, but I think Togo, which is a '66, has the type on the right. It might be possible the the type that are threaded were replacements, that the design was improved. I would have to open a few hoods to be sure. I do know that the concave top is by design.
Beyond any hope for intervention
