emergency brake assistance
I am trying to figure out how to connect my e brake. It seems like my rod is not correct for my 1967?

Gary, it looks correct to me. The only picture I have at hand is the following:
I can measure tomorrow the length so you can compare with yours, but I'm sure it's correct.

Esteban beat me to it. 
The rod is correct for your '67. The rods didn't change between years, pretty much nothing did on the hand brake. I can see that you will still be missing the adjustment bolt that is the smaller one to the right of the larger one with the spring on it.

Ok now I see how it works. Is that small adjustment bolt complex or can jerry rig something?

haha. thanks again Esteban & Leslie - the picture and info was very helpful. Leslie had given me the the diagram previously, but I just didn't understand how it worked until I saw the color photo. Is the little bolt and spacer an important part of it to work? If so, should I try to find one on ebay or from one of you guys? Or, do you suggest I make one up myself?

You can make one yourself. After reading your post and looking at my picture, mine clearly looks fabricated. I agree with Esteban. Just find a bolt long enough and use 2 nuts on the end to lock the adjustment. This is one of the 3 adjustments for the handbrake shoe.Esteban wrote:You can make one yourself. Hi, I noticed my shoe was upside down with the correct picture so I rotated it and re installed it. Its all done except the rod is is too long as shown. Were there shorter wheelbase patrols made? It looks like I will need to shorten my rod by several inches. Any thoughts?
