What product did you use prep the wheel for paint?
What paint did you use?
Is the PC-7 repair holding up?
Is the paint finish holding up?

I preped with denatured alcohol.

Yes, the pc-7 is good but make some "rivet" holes. Check out this dude from KBS doing a fine demo, exactly as I did it but I used PC-7 and I am way better looking, not as bald.......and modest.

The paint is just paint so not full proof but I am very satisfied and can repaint if the ring chips build up. I would use it again.

I have always considered this very typical 60's-70's perforated vinyl steering wheel cover to be excellent in many ways for our Patrols.
1. Inexpensive
2. Easily replaceable
3. The right look

On another note.......while reorganizing stuff, I noticed some slight differences in the two chromed fonts on the horn buttons but also never noticed that there was white font color too.....unless the one on the left was just painted.

I have that same style steering wheel wrap on my Jeep and daughter's Xterra. Maybe not as large a diameter. The one on my Jeep is 15+ years old, but needs replacing. Is it 23 channel? Or newer 40 channel?

That CB also dates itself back to the 70s!

I love the wrap. You're right it is a period correct accessory and looks pretty cool in a strange grandpa kinda way!
