I would love to do a journey like that in my Patrol. Basically, I will freshen the fluids and go, but choosing a route from one member to the next, just in case of trouble.
By the way, the photos on the link are beautiful, and the roadster blends itself perfectly in each one.
I couldn't imagine making a trip that long, in a vehicle that old. Article said he drove clockwise to hit the cold north before winter and put 20,000 miles on it before he got to NY City.
I was wondering about the route on the map broken into to 2 different colors. Maybe the southern route on the map is not as crooked as the north route as he was still in FL when the blog was updated. And the lower portion of the trip has yet to be completed. I also think I would have hit all the lower 48. Looks like the only states missing are KY, AR, MO, OK, and KS.
RP, I have to agree with you. My sciatic nerve doesn't like to ride for more than an hour...in comfortable seats.
Esteban, I think what you said is what he did. He visited many of his Datsun Roadster contacts everywhere he went.

the Nissan executives were all over the roadster checking it out, and one can only hope that they try once more to offer something simple, sporty, and inexpensive where a medium family income could possibly buy a third vehicle just for fun.
the 350Z missed the mark in my opinion, too pricey, and too complicated. they need something in the low to mid $20's am i dreaming Mike?
