Hood Rubber parts ?

Post by GARYSCC »

Hi, I was wondering where I can find a pair of hood rubber for the windshield when it folds down onto the hood. Also, I'd like to get rubber stops for under the hood so it sits level on the front fenders. And, it looks like there is supposed to be a rubber stop on the drivers side front grill - which would support the hood frame.

the windshield rests have been reproduced with success taking hockey pucks and cutting them out. not sure where to send you on the other parts, but I would try the salvage yards for something that would work.

I went to a sports place to get a few hockey pucks, but they seem too hard. Shouldnt the windshield rest on a softer rubber. Is there a similar rubber for a land cruiser for sale?

The windshield rest are very hard rubber. I haven't actually seen the hockey puck rests but others have used them.

A few years back there was a guy on RMP&O that reproduced the hood rests. they were available in a bolt in or rubber teet form. they were spot on. I believe he even sold some on ebay. I've been digging in old files & emails but haven't turned up the info yet.
