Hello from CALI
Hello,
Hope everyone is enjoying their day. I finally joined after viewing threads/post over the years.
I purchased my patrols in 2009 and finished restoring it last year.
My granddaughter is a big fan.
I have been thinking about selling but it's difficult to part ways!

Welcome to 60Patrol!
Thanks for stopping by.
You did an amazing job on that Patrol! Suweet! Did you document the restoration? That would be great to see. What did you do with the yellow one? Thanks for posting pics, now we don't have to bug you for them.

Re: Hello from CALI
Thank you for the warm welcome. I do have a couple of photos - I will ask my daughter for them.
I started using the Patrol for parts but my son wanted one so I gave it to him but he hasn't done much with it. I have photos of that one as well.
Restoration was a process - I tried to maintain it all stock - the doors are not though.

Re: Hello from CALI
Althoug I purchased and attempted to restore it - I have been a long land cruiser person.
I have 2 FJ40s - I have modified one and currently restoring the other. I have a FJ80, FJ Cruiser, and a Samurai that's my "rock crawler."
I'm a 4x4 Enthusiast!
I love my Patrol. Usually drive it out on the weekend; it's supposed to be up in the 80s here so I will be taking it out this weekend.
I'm glad to be a "lurker" in this community.
Thanks again for the warm welcome!

Re: Hello from CALI
Wow... both your Patrols are soft top models with the frames fully intact. Impressive.
The red one is a nice rig - Are those 34x9.50 TSL's ? That is the tire I had on my rusty blue 67, 20 years ago...

Welcome and congratulations! Beautiful work.
On your first picture, on the yellow one there's some lettering on the door that says "??.. CAMERA CAR". Please explain.

We're not too far from each other. Where do you like to take your Patrol for a drive? Where in the LA metropolis are you?chalawan wrote:I love my Patrol. Usually drive it out on the weekend; it's supposed to be up in the 80s here so I will be taking it out this weekend.
