Very nice Patrol. It looks good in the Florida sun. 8-) I like the custom plate, they did a good job. Looking forward to more pictures. There are only a small few Patrols in Florida; the climate there isn't kind to them.

Took the Patrol and FJ43 to a local car show. The Patrol was mobbed! People loved it and wanted to know what the heck it was. Later won a small trophy.

I would encourage you Patrol owners no matter what condition your truck take it to your local car show. People loved the truck and learning a bit about how they are popular in Australia and South America.

I agree. A Patrol at a car show always draws a lot of attention. You hardly get a chance to go see the other cars because you spend so much time telling everyone about your Patrol.

Yes but I loved telling about the history of the Patrols. I am no expert but I believe I get across the basics.

Volcan 4x4 is pleased to announce that this Patrol has sold to a west coat dealer and onto his client. I do not have details where the truck is going only that maybe it is a ranch out west. Further believed that the final retail sale price of this truck estimated in the upper $30k range makes this the highest recorded price for a classic Nissan Patrol in the US.

Uniqueness, condition and provenance are everything in the classic car market and I really believe this was a unique truck. The best news about this sale is that I am very optimistic that my company can bring in more Patrols.

The sad part is I personally loved this truck and the color and put a lot of work into it. I was just getting used to the 3 speed too and how to blip the throttle ever so slightly at the stop light to ease it in into 1st gear! What a lot of fun.

Truck off to Los Angeles dealer. I have no idea where it is going after that. I don't think a 79 with no emissions can be registered in California. Guessing it goes to a ranch in AZ or something. Sad to see it go. I need a Patrol for myself.

Oh, anything is possible. ;) All you need to know is how the system works and the right people. :D

I thought it only had to adhere to the emission laws at the time it was new.
Looks like a nice Mustang in front of it also.

Regarding exporting out of Colombia it is not easy. I am one year into the business and this is my 2nd business in Colombia and I am still fighting challenges. I believe that is why you see only a dribble of trucks coming out of this country. Also the costs are much higher for the paperwork and transport which most people do not realize. You can not compare to Australia or Europe. This is why I am doing higher end trucks to justify those higher costs. Most of the Patrols were beaten on worse than the Toyotas as they were used more for commercial use than the Toyotas. Thus hard to find. Having said that I just found the most original truck of all my 10 trucks so far including Toyotas.

I just bought a 1977 Patrol LG-60 in red. One owner 68,000 miles. All original tools, interior, owner's manual on and on. mostly original paint.

It is sold to a collector already.
