Wow, please don't think that you need to be sorry for that. This is an automotive forum, not an vocabulary forum. It's fine to use your thread as a diary or journal, so grammar isn't a requirement. It's not even listed in the forum rules.

Thanks guys! I do try to make it presentable but at 2+am it's not great lol.

Anyhow got some more work done tonight. I found a seat that seams to work well it's from a kabota (sp?) tractor. It's small comfy and looks about right (not stock but size, sorry purists). I got it into the truck but I need to look for a better mounting solution. I am thinking about taking the truck out to get some kind of frame made form the seats. I'm going to look at some different options, I was hoping to get through the summer before anything like that but it needs done sooner.
I got a little more paint done as well as getting a coat of truck bed liner in the back.
Getting the door latches mounted is looking like it will be a pain and I'm looking at different options.
Most of the truck is red at this point. I am debating doing a checkered black/red paint job.
One more day to get some work done then I have to go to work. I am going to take my iPad loaded with pictures, notes and information I've accumulated with me so that I can work out some of the stuff I want to do or try.
I will work on getting the last few sets of pics up.

I think the cj2a would be the right size seat but mouts further down. Would probably look more period though.

Hmmm those look fairly factory. I have to say the kabota (sp?) seats are fairly comfortable and rugged. I am looking at options to get them mounted, I really don't like how I have them in now.

Finally back from work! Got a good amount of time to think about some of the patrol though. Did some odds and ends today, decided I didn't like how the dash was so I took it apart again. There were also some wires that I couldn't account for what they went to so going to trace them and see. Touched up some spots that I missed with paint as well.
Hoping to get some more time tonight we shall see. Tomorrow I am going to the state capital to get my antique tags.

Got some more work done tonight. Still working on the wiring which is slowly driving me crazier than I already am.

Anyhow.
Any ideas where the spring from the carb is supposed to go to in stock configuration? Mine goes to the fender and that just seems odd?


Think I'm going to stick with the black and red. Or maybe yellow and red (cav colors). Going to work on getting a new center plate cut out.



I like this seat but I am going to work on getting a frame that goes above the sheet metal made. Right now I just have a frame below the sheet metal and it's not that rigid. Plus I'd like to get the seat to mount a little further back.


I am at the point now that I am debating just doing everything that I want now instead of waiting until this fall/winter. Unfortunately the spring and summer are busy for work and wildland fires so time is limited and I would like to take it to some events as well as be able to run topless around town a bit while it's nice. Not sure what route to go.

I'd like to thank everyone for all the great info on the site, I've been able to solve a ton of problems from the info on here even some of the pictures have been a huge help. Thanks!!!

Doc, it's not a the factory carb, that's where it was since I first had it. Ya not pretty. That s a Chrysler Ball and Ball carb.(decent carb) I have a Rochester Monojet here you can have they fit and work well.

You're moving right along with this project. You've been making a lot a progress with the time you've put into it. Why wait until fall?
