Daughter's 2012 Nissan Xterra Uh Oh

My daughter had a run-in with the rear end of a Chevy Impala who had a run-in with another Chevy Impala who almost had a run-in with 2 more non-Impalas that had a run-in with each other.

Anyway, her Xterra fared quite well. However, I did take advantage of the situation to upgrade the front bumper. Leaving off the factory bumper parts and installation labor was almost enough to cover a Calmini bumper similar to mine. I finished getting the factory fogs and new grill installed yesterday.

Just need a small lift, more aggressive tires, and a winch now.

Had to include the 67 Patrol. The 63 is still in parts in the garage behind my truck.
I think it is interesting that the Xterra has become the Nissan offroad vehicle in the US starting in late 98 as a 99. The Pathfinder has switched to the "soccer mom" sector of SUVs.

Thanks for the concern. She is fine. It was a low speed situation, but it doesn't take much impact today to tear up a vehicle. She was mad at herself and sad she tore up her Xterra.

Have you ever towed with the Xterra? (We are considering one to replace our Tahoe.) Do you think the Xterra can safely pull a trailer up to 3000 lbs that has trailer brakes?

I haven't towed anything with either one of our Xterras, but they should tow 3000lbs OK. Just make sure you get the Nissan wire harness relays.
I believe there is also a brake controller that can be used.
TheNewX may have some info if you search towing. I found this one thread with a guy at the bottom with towing experience.
