What's up with the radiator? I have yet to see one of those fail, unless something is shot through it.
Beyond any hope for intervention

mine failed :(

my local radiator bloke reckons he's seen more than one 60 Patrol radiator split the brazing between tanks and core - usually because the original 7psi cap has been replaced by a 13psi, which is more commonly available here. Apparently the shape and size of the 60 radiator means it doesn't like having nearly double the design pressure inside it...

Yes, that would make sense. That's a lot of copper to be tossing out, hopefully you can recycle the old one to help pay for another one.

Actually the core itself was ok, after a good flush. Just needed to have the tanks removed, repaired and replaced - and have the correct cap fitted. :shifty:

New cores are pretty steep ( AU$700-$900 fitted ) thanks to lack of competition in Australia, but at least they're available.

the radiator is leaking from the rear, not sure what happened to it. My concern is the small issue becoming something catastrophic on a longer trip. If I cant find a stock one I may have a custom one made, I am just trying to deal with all the issues especially while i cant drive it anyhow.

Thanks
