Checking and Refilling Tranny/ Gearbox and Transfer

Won't run? Engine, cooling system, fuel pump, carb, clutch, tranny, brakes, etc. The old messages from the NPCA 'Engine & Mechanical' category are here.

Checking and Refilling Tranny/ Gearbox and Transfer

Post by Swerve »

Just a tip I check my gearbox/ transfer from the fill plugs on the left had side, to refill or top up I use some garden hose about 2 feet long and a funnel from the battery box opening under the left hand seat, no pumps and all easy to carry with you.

Late to the party but is there only one fill point for both transfer and box? Cheers in advance

No there are two, one on gearbox and transfer, look for large 1" thread plug, with square nut, half way up boxes

Thanks, I thought as much but im a total noob enjoying learning as I go. Got me buggered where the second fill point is then. Further searching thru the dust and grime required me thinks.
