difference between c6000 and c7000 distributors?

Post by Drews67 »

I've got a century 22100-c6000 distributor on my patrol but I can't find electronic ignition kits for it, I only see the c7000 model kits. Anyone know if they would be interchangeable?

can you post a picture of your points module?

if it looks like this one below, then any of the Pertronix kits designed for the C7000 should work, I would think....

These are the points I removed from my C7000:

Blue 67 Hardtop (sold March1997)
Green 62 Softtop L60-2-00504 (undergoing restoration)

For the points that Robert pictured:

The Pertronix kit is PART # 1761, for Datsun 6 Cylinder (240Z). Amazon has it.

This is the one I have installed in mine, since I have the later style distributor (~72 and up) non-water protect.

The blurriness is probably just from the coffee that I spilled on the lens... ;)
