JDSouth's Idaho 69 Nissan Patrol

Greetings everybody.
Well I just traded an ATV and a Harley for a 69 Nissan Patrol. I had the ATV and Harley up for sale so that I could purchase a Jeep CJ3A. It's a long story but came across a guy that wanted the Harley and I saw an offroad vehicle by his shop. So I gave it a look and absolutely loved what I saw. I had never heard of a Nissan Patrol prior to this but fell in love for sure. So the deal went down and I am pretty excited to have this thing. The guy I got it from owns a custom bike shop and has the knowledge and equipment to do some amazing work. He stripped it down and did a frame up. The engine and tranny have been rebuilt and have less than 100 miles on them. It also has Detroit lockers, new brakes all around, new exhaust, custom interior, and I am still learning more each day that has been done. We are currently making a roll bar for it since I will be hauling around my kids in the back regularly. I owned an 88 Jeep YJ for about 8 years and sold it several years back so this is my second "jeep" style vehicle. I can definitely say this thing is 10 times better than the jeep I had. Very excited to add some personal touches to it. I really would have enjoyed building it myself but at the same time it is nice to have a turn key rig. I have only viewed this forum a couple of times thus far and really like what I see. Look forward to being a part of the community.

Congratulations on being the new owner of the very unique plaid Patrol. Sounds like it's a great ride. I am interested to see what kind of diffs it's got that would accept Detroit lockers - there are no locker for the stock US diffs. Maybe it's got an H260 that was imported? Nice rig, hope you get a lot of fun use out of it. Feel free to ask any questions here.

Hey thanks. I am interested too, it hasn't even made it to my drive way yet, since he is finishing up some minor things. I want to say it has dana 60s under it. However, I am away with the army for a week and will inquire about it when I get back. I will find out for sure.

You've got some good company up there. Member Driven is in ID, and there are others. several members in MT and WA also.
