Here are a few part #s that I had scribbled on a sheet of paper. These came from my 1980 Microfiche. It is only a drop in the bucket of part #s, but maybe I've listed some helpful ones. These are the #s I've looked up for myself or anyone else that has asked. The prices are from Nissan Auto Parts.com. If there isn't a price it doesn't mean it's not available it just didn't turn up anything on there site. I did it on a Microsoft Spreadsheet so if this doesn't post right or anyone wants it mailed to them to print out let me know. I hate to burst your bubble guys but a lot of that stuff is not avaiable from Nissan. Even parts that come up on NAP.com that Kieth listed with prices can not be bought...trust me I have tried many of those numbers. Some of it can still be bought through dealers in the USA and some can be bought from dealers outside the USA. The prob outside the USA is Nissan has now ban delaers selling this stuff to us from say Oz...they want you to go through the dealers in yuour country. Yet, most dealers in the USA do not have these part numbers in their system plus put little effort into ordering the parts. You need a dealer with a little pull at Nissan America nad Nissan Japan and you need them to keep submitting the backordered parts until they get a NAL from Japan. I have said it before but the same catalog Kieth uses and the one these numbers are from can be bought very soon from a Dealer in Texas. They are converting it to CD and will sell it for $35. They can also order you the parts but so far no discounts. Like I say some can be bought from NAP.com with a discount, maybe moire from Les or the dealer in Texas. Basically all you can do is try to order parts and be very patient....

Sorry guys didn't mean to get anybodies hopes up. What I should have said is just because the part number is still active and turns up a price doesn't mean it is still available. I posted the #s just to give a point to start looking from. The more people looking the better our chances of finding what we need. Maybe demand will meet with supply if enough are demanding and show enough intrest. Hopefully Ian's dealer in Texas will hook us up.     Keith

Not to change the subject, but has anyone shopped for parts at "nissan parts.com" (Not to be confused with "nissan auto parts.com") NP.com is in the State of Washington.  NAP.com  is in Oklahoma. Parts availability is about the same but the prices are signifintly cheaper and turnaround time is less if you are located in the west.

I think I will go with Keith on the supply and demand thing....maybe if we all hassle one dealer for parts then we will start to see results. So here is the info I been talking about for awhile on the "special" dealer. NAP.com is a good place to get this stuff or a good place to try to get parts and they have a lot of # in their system. I got new rear leafs from them and embalms recently....yet they seem to be offline and maybe closed, I dunno. I now use the dealer in Texas, located in Richardson. This dealer is the one I was recomended by Nissan Motor Sports and Nissan America. He has the 1980 microfiche and the ability to get parts other dealers can not. They can be found at http://www.courtesy-nissan.com/ and you need to talk with Steve Richardson in parts...he is the manager. He said they will have the microfiche forsale on CD to the public before long for $30 but it may be December. This microfiche is what all Patrol owners need to order parts anywhere in the USA or OZ or other countries...it is the most up to date parts catalog. So far Steve has got me parts other dealers have said were NLA and it appears I am getting a discount now, they also include shipping in the price of parts so you just pay one price. I can reccomend them as they have got me plenty of parts so far. Just beaware if you are ordering parts from a 1980 catalog that a few will not work and do not order RHD front end parts if you have a LHD Patrol, the steering box in patricular is diffrent.. Only thing I got so far that will not work is dipsticks for the engine. They are about 1/2" shorter than stock, I assume because the holder tube was shortened.

Here is an updated part #  Speedo cable B5050- F1706  I got one of these today from the dealer. Perfect fit with a fancy sheathing around it and a deluxe firewall grommet.  I also got a light switch knob, Rear end gasket,& Park brake lining rivots. Unfortunatly not the brake linings.   Keith
