Thank you , I was just at the right place at the right time. I had just bought the thing and showed up at the Nissan Jam. The show was only a mile from my house, I was lucky to make it there and back without AAA. I haven't been in a show since, but it has spent plenty of time on display at my mechanics.
I need a good old school mechanic around here. I cannot find anybody that can refer me to a good carburetor guy, cause I ain't one!
young guys being trained as mechanics are only taught fuel injection systems. the old carburetor guys are either retiring, quitting, or just too independent and can pick and choose their customers and type work they do. I have a guy that is really good on carburetors and electrical, and he goes out to Colorado each summer to visit family. while he is there for two to three months, he has work lined up and waiting on him. this guy is in his 60's and i don't have a clue who to use when he is done working. But if i could take his brain, and down load it into mine, i would go into this field full time and never run out of work.

Looks like Nissan is pushing out my blue Patrol and starting to use Urban60's Patrol whenever they need a Patrol shot: http://www.nissanusa.com/about/heritage
Nissan's first SUV in the U.S., followed Land Rover’s trail and offered more power for less, but just as tough and utilitarian. The truck featured was restored by a former Nissan employee Bill Thomas, who discovered it on a farm in Nebraska. 2,216 units were sold through 1969, until imports were halted.
