CLOSE ONE!

Post by Coyote Patrol »

I was headed back to Winslow on Hwy 87 from camping. Just past a semi about 2 min previous, doing around 65mph and BOOM! I was in the opposite lane before i knew it pulling my 5th wheel. Holly smokes! It took all i had to regain control and get it back in my lane. brand new tire at that. thank god my wife wasnt driving this time! She is a very good driver, but im not sure she could have muscled it back.

That could have been a very bad situation! What location on the truck was it? I steering tire? Yikes. Super glad that you're all ok.

Thanks everyone, no one is as glad as me! It just wasnt my time! Simple as that. steering axle. Ive had blow outs, but not on the steering axle. I mean there wasnt anything i could have done any faster than i did and i was already in the other lane and almost in the ditch. Scariest thing thats happened to me to date. PS everyone go check your spare tires right now to make sure they are aired up! ;)

Yeah, and maybe keep a spare pair of underwear the truck, as well.... I would have needed clean ones after an adventure like that.

God has a plan! Glad everybody is OK. It would have been very easy to wreck others in the process of wrecking yourself.
What kind of tire is that?
