First Camping Trip

Here is the little fella out for his first camping trip. Posted the VIN tag for the registry, this is a numbers matching vehicle. We are quite pleased with out find, everything works, no leaks, no problems. One problem is that I just can't seem to get it into fourth gear

Thanks for the VIN, I will add this to the Registry. When you get a chance maybe you could grab a picture of the VIN tag on the driver's door B post, the engine number on the engine and the VIN stamped on the frame. Then I can list the Registry entry as Verified.

Having a tough time finding the B pillar number... any help? Also have a title and plate from another vehicle, but no vehicle. Would that be useful?

Sorry. The B pillar is the part of the body that the front door latches to. On your '69 there should be another VIN plate near the door latch. That plate should also have a date of manufacture on it.

I hope I am not that blind but I looked on the front side, back side, inside and outside and there is no plate nor does there appear to ever have been, unless it was right where the big rust hole was. ?

That is very odd. Your Patrol is a 'true' '69, and every 'true' '69 that I've seen has had the VIN plate there. It's riveted on, so unless someone patched the holes it would be obvious that it was there. Here's a picture of one. It's below the door latch:
