Stock sun visors

Really old stuff that got saved. Here are the old Nissan Patrol Club America messages from the 'General' category. Warning, it's dusty in here!

Stock sun visors

Post by npca-bigwave »

Does anybody know what the stock sunvisors look like? I have a set in my '67 , and I don't know if they are stock or not. They are blueish tinted and are secured to the window frame with standard style screws.

Stock sun visors

Like I said in my previous post...I can see from your pic that the sun visors in your Patrol are stock. Stock ones mount on the outside via 3 screws, the mounting plate is triangular shaped with a screw in each corner. If you do not have visors (to other members) simply look at the top of your windshiled frame and you will see the three holes for mounting the visor. From what I have seen the visors were covered the same as the seats....so red would mean your Patrol had red seats orginally....grey then grey interior.   FYI, All Patrols had stock white interior panneling....Nissan only sold them with white colored panels. The headliner is also always white. Seats came a couple of ways....for some reason we got a mix in the USA of Patrol color paint schemes. I have seen stock Patrls (and own) that were sold in color on top, bottem and inside....even tops a solid color. Then I have also seen the grey interior paint scheme and yes many with white tops...this on Patrols that are still stock. These diffrent paint scheme are all stock but I do not know why the diffrences....Nissan never put an undercoating on the Patrol so the underside of the body is a good place to check for original color.  Seats were usually the same color as the rig...red Patrol had red seats regardless of whether interior color was grey or solid. In 68 Nissan started offering a "deluxe" seat option, this seat was a two tone. It was generally silver and black with the black being the center of the seats....this is very rare and I have only seen it on one Patrol....a 68 owned by Roc8man. The only other diffrences in paint/interior was in 69 the dash was accented using black....this can be found on all 69 Patrols regardless of color. Enjoy the info....   IAN
