I have this Eastwood Tool. It works great!!!

So far working with the stainless has been easy. I think as long as you have a good flaring tool it's not a big deal. It's easy to bend and my flaring tool makes that process easy. I just have the manual tubing bender. Don't know the name or brand.

I've got two more Patrols to tear down to the frame (or is it three? I lose count sometimes :? ) - anyway - I'll shoot some pics
I don't know if you still needed these shots Justin, but here they are:

Well folks its been awhile so I guess I should give a quick update. I have decided to replace the belt driven fan with an electric one so I bought one that usually fits a 95-96 Ford Taurus because it has a stupid cfm and its a 2 speed if you install the controller as well which I am. After cutting up the plastic housing it comes in I then fabricated a end cover and a couple of mounting tabs. Here are a couple pics of the end.

I also started work on the body. There are just a couple small places that need repair as far as I can tell so I tried my hand at sheet metal work for the first time ever.

Forgot to get a before pic of this one

And this is a reinforcement that I fabbed up to stiffen the bed rail so that the hard top mounting holes do not pull through as they had before on my Patrol. It's 1/8" steel that I trimmed down and fitted on the inside of the rail, then rosette welded it into place.

All the major pieces are now at the body shop being blasted and primed to see if there are any more areas that need to be replaced. The floor pan section that I did may have to be redone as my skills are a little lacking but we shall see. The body guy pointed out a couple other spots when I dropped off the stuff but hopefully it won't be too bad.

Question, should the areas over the rear wheels, the tub fenders, be straight/flat? Or do they have a slight bow out to them? Both sides of mine have a slight bow outwards but I'm not sure if that is factory or if the PO did it to accommodate the wider tires.

Anyways that's the progress that I've made lately, I will post some more pics and info on the radiator fan if anyone else is interested.

Excellent progress Justin!   I like your "safety boots" Very comfy when welding!

The idea of the electric fan is interesting. Wonder if you gain a couple of hp with it. I'm sure.

I will check tomorrow the tub fenders. I'm sure they are like you describe, but I don't trust my memory and couldn't find any pictures.

Justin-

the straightest, most bondo-free tub I have is my red 65, and it does show a subtle outward bow/curvature along the area below the character line on the rear fenders...

:text-+1: The fenders are bowed.

Awesome!! Thanks for the reassurance that there should be a bit of a bow in the fenders. That will save me a little on body work!!
