I would venture to offer:
The speed of the transmission is based on the rotational force of the earth (an accepted standard) plus the speed on the vehicle on which it is attached.

The number of forward gears available within the engine is usually the novice's terminology for the describing the transmission.

But I am just a CPA, so what do I know.

Typical Nissan cost savings. I think they would eliminate one of the wheels if they could figure out how to keep one of the axles from dragging the ground!

Yes Sir. - I was the high bidder. Now I will be the pitiful newbie with all the stupid questions. Fortunately, this truck appears to be pretty complete. I would like to have the correct mirrors and headliner but I will take my time and get to know the old gal before I do anything. I've owned scores of FJ40's but never a Patrol.

Anybody know the original owner?
