Patrol Build
Hey everyone, glad I found this site. I'm going to be pouring over the information to do my homework. I have my work cut out for me since I'm a grease monkey newbie. I've been helping my buddies work on their Jeeps and they have been trying to convince me to get some sort of rig to work on. We found this Patrol sitting in a field and I thought it looked pretty badass. So we are going to try and resurrect it. I just got it today and it needs a good power washing and scrubbing to get the dirt /mold/rust off. I look forward to chatting with you all and I'm sure I will need to hit that guy up for rubber pieces
If you have any tips or advice let me know. Thanks!

Re: Patrol Build
Welcome to 60Patrol!
Thanks for introducing yourself, and posting a pic of your Patrol.
That looks like a very worthy Patrol. And it's already got a winch. Patrols do very well off road, and can go anywhere a Jeep can go, with the right driving skills.
Don't be afraid to ask questions, someone will probably have an answer. Search the forum for tons of readily available info.
Post up the VIN and engine number for your Patrol and we'll make sure it gets added to the Registry if it isn't already there. Here's where to find your VIN and engine number: http://www.60patrol.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1685 Your Patrol looks like it's a '68 or a '68-sold-as-a-'69.

Welcome to 60Patrol! You have come to the right place. Can't wait to see some more pictures. Where did you find that one? Those look like hay swathers in the background. Sacramento valley maybe?

Welcome! It's amazing the difference a good power wash can make to a vehicle thats been sitting for years. Make sure you post plenty of pics of your progress.
