Happy Friday!!

Post by offroadkid »

Since we got the Patrol I've been neglecting my Land Cruiser and the forums that go along with it. It's been almost a month and I still can't get enough of the Patrol and can't wait to spend my Friday night on this forum reading, learning, and looking at pics of other rigs while eating our Mexican food that we get to go every Friday!!

Thanks for having a forum dedicated to this great rare automobile!!

Ya know, just because this is a Patrol forum doesn't mean all of us are are anti-Cruiser... heck, several members on this forum have discovered that their Patrols actually have FJ40 rear axles grafted onto them 8-)

Let's see some pics of your rigs side by side ! Here are Fijiland's two awesome examples:

mmm, Mexican food - good idea. Friday night Margaritas - I'm down.

Well my other love isn't a 40 series, instead she's a 80 series! 1997 FZJ80 Collectors Edition, last year of the inline 4.5 DOHC and last year of the solid front axle. This particular one has the sought after factory front and rear locking differentials. If I remember correctly only 10% of Cruisers sold in the US were ordered with this option, it was only available on 93-97 models. Rear diff locks were available on the 100 series Cruisers from 98-99.

I don't have any side by side pics of the girls, but here's a couple from a camping trip last year, (pre Patrol)!
