Well, the pictures are kind of tiny, but it looks like it might be an original muffler.

Heat shield might be. The muffler doesn't match the heat shield, so I don't think it's original.

the picture isn't complete, but it doesn't appear to be. The heat shield and the original mount/strap isn't there.G60michael wrote:Does anyone think my 66's one is the original or not,

Ok, Looking at this image of the muffler on Lou's 69 Patrol:
I went and compared it to this picture of my 62's muffler:

It looks like the correct OEM muffler, yes?
If this is indeed the original muffler still in place on my 62, then I will have no choice but to try and restore it... Which will absolutely be the first time in my automotive journey that I have EVER tried to restore a muffler...
