As for the paint, I have a case of the old spray paint when I restored the Patrol in 1986. Just a quick spray over keeps it looking sharp and takes about 30 mins.
BTW When I restored my Patrol in 1989, I took it down to bare sheet metal. What surprised me was that I found the hood had "USS" logos on the sheet metal. I asked Nissan about it at the time and they said Nissan was importing United States Steel (USS) into Japan in the 60's as they did not have that grade of steel available locally. So in the Patrol we have a Japanese truck built to Society of American Engineers (SAE) standards, with a (partially to mostly) designed American Engine, made in part with American steel. There are American cars today with out anywhere near that much US heritage. Patrol owners have a cool truck with a really interesting history.
