Hi everyone,
One has popped up for sale in my state, finally. I will have to look through the forum for "what to look out for when purchasing a G60". The price seems a bit too much but i have not inspected the vehicle yet. Only had a brief chat to the partner of the owner and she said the correct km's are not known, it may have gone over once??
Any members in Perth WA know this vehicle? I haven't many in our state.

Hi Teza,
At first glance it looks pretty good. I'd say its had some sort of freshen up at some stage. There appears to be some rust coming through on the front guards. The head appears to have been redone too, its painted a different colour to the rest of the engine.
Soft top looks good and worth at least $1000 to have re made.
I'd be checking under the carpet in the back, seems a great spot to trap moisture and hide rust!
I'd check the usual spots..
top of front guards where factory mirrors were mounted (i bet its been bogged up and repainted. check by sticking your head under the wheel well and look up).
Rear panels where the round lights are mounted. Mud kicks up from the wheels and gets trapped in here rusting it out.
Check the "seam" along the front guards, they might be showing signs of rust bubbles.
If you can, fold the windscreen down and check the top of the firewall particularly in the corners.
Check foot wells

All up a very good start, check that windscreen for rust around teh A pillar and the seam weld 12" to the left of the A pillar, looks a bit bubbly on the photo.
Hopefully you can knock that price down but I'd be happy paying $2k to $3k for it as seems quite good.
Good luck.
Steve
