Cleaning my carburetor and...

Won't run? Engine, cooling system, fuel pump, carb, clutch, tranny, brakes, etc. The old messages from the NPCA 'Engine & Mechanical' category are here.

Where's the carb meister, Rob? He should know.
Beyond any hope for intervention

Yes I hope he pops in and gives advice, even as to which jet is accelerator if that is right! Haha

Oh boy.... rebuilding carbs via "long distance with pics" is a challange I'm not sure I'm up for.

But, I looked up and studied some two-barrel Hitachi carb diagrams, and I see two ball bearings in the accelerator pump assembly

One goes at the bottom of the main barrel for the Accelerator pump (red arrrow), beneath the accelerator pump rod (red circle) and the other ball goes in the Accelerator pump pressure bleed circuit (blue arrow- but it doesn't look like you unscrewed this valve, if I am seeing your picture correctly; so I imagine that bearing is still inside there).

Hope this helps... :geek:

Long distance is better than not at all I hope!
Much appreciated, thanks!
