Rear Door Lock Assembly

Post by ShowMePatrol »

As complete as my 1963 Patrol is, it's missing the rear door (gate) lock assembly for some strange reason. Anyone have a nice assembly they want to part with?

Thanks!

Hmmmm.....I wonder if mine was never equipped with a rear door lock assembly due to being a soft top. Is this possible?

Yes

Yours should just have a loop-style rear door handle like this one:

Are you talking about the locking T handle? If so I may have a spare for you. But I don't have a key for it.

No, I'm talking about the rear gate (door) latch (#22) mounted inside the door. Mine is completely gone which seems a bit odd. It seems like I saw a post that made reference to it not being there due to being a softie??

Your softie would still have that latch. What the softies don't have is the keyed locks for the front doors and rear door. The keyed lock for the rear door is located on the upper section of the door, which the softies don't have.
Beyond any hope for intervention
