Re: Rolly's 76 Soft top
Just been doing some research on my motor for a possible rebuild in the future. It's a 253H high compression out of a HT or HG Holden. These were produced from '69 to '71. I'll average that out to 1970.
So what I have is a 45 year old V8 in a 38 year old body which weighs in at 1900kg tare with drum brakes all round and a 3 speed with no synchro in 1st. Oh, and no roof.
That sounds like my online dating profile, no wonder I can't get a response.

I thought life was great being kid-free, no mortgage, no wife.......then I bought a Patrol and tried to stick F/Glass panels on it. Bugger!

Time and health has beaten me, this old girl is up for sale. Not sure what she's worth but I spent $1500 on all the fibreglass bits. Will respect reasonable offers

Ok, caught the bug again. Been cleaning up the shed and thinking I'll spend a bit of time on the old girl. Put her up for sale and had lots of likes but no takers. It'll be the death of me but the resto is a goer again. Silly me.

There is no escape.
to quote an ancient video game ( yes, I'm old enough to have owned a Commodore64, and a VIC20 ):
"Another visitor...Stay a while...Stay forever !"
good luck with the resto, it's not an Impossible Mission
