Hey maybe there is someone that can help. I've got a 69 with electrical proplems. last week I noticed that the wires going into the ignition were all melted and then discoverd that they had fried in a few other areas. The Headlights then disided to quit working a few days later. Here's were I gets complicated, other lights that I wouldn't think to be conected is the utility light on the dash, the turn signals and brakes. When the left turn signal is on both right and left flash, the right side works as suposed to. And the brake lights don't work. I thought maybe the voltage regulator? I havn't been to auto store yet to replace it, and if thats it hopfully they can get one. well any and all ideas welcome Thanks Tom

wow... left an right when left, but only right when right... So it is not a short at the light ends... has to be in the switch to them. ignition, and others fried... due you have the right fuses sizes in? If so, make sure the fuse holders are clean... clean means not green! Take a pencile errasor and clean the contacts till they look like copper color.. Your regulator could be the cause to some things melting... but the fuses should catch that.. Sounds like a harness got pinched... but that would imply a short... and your symptom of your blinkers does not imply short... more of a switch problem... and the switch that controls your blinker is sepearte from the switch that controls your break lights.... and... and... ouch.. My head hurts! But, this is a good one, it is going to take a good volt meter and a good amount of time to figure it out. Just be glad there is not much to the PATROL as far as wires go! Sorry I want more help! Grant P.S. http://www.msnusers.com/NissanPatrolClu ... tons%2Ejpg Youll need it!
