looking for bit of advice (g60)

Post by hicks »

Not long ago aquired this g60 atleast was told thats what it was as im new to these old girls, ive heard its got a long history of owners somewhere along the line the id tag has parted ways with body. I have located chassis number and it matches the build tag that is on top of grill panel. Anybody have any clue of anything i can do? Would be awesome if someone knows a previous owner, thanks in advance guys. Would like to know where i stand before i get in to deep, i dont even know the year she was born. The car is known as the yellow G60 SWB with the 350 chev in her but i didnt get the engine.

Welcome mate,

Sadly I know its had at least a dozen owners in the last 5 years and it was a dodgy car as well as the claimed engineering papers which i have herd from a few owners are apparently false documents . Also 5 other words mate and they are unfortunately , Rust, Bog, Rust, Rust, Lemon.

It's probably a 77 or 78.

With the engine number stamped on the plate, you can compare with others to see where it falls.

Michael has a good number of Patrols from different years. He might have a clue.

On the other hand, the year is of little importance for parts since there are almost no changes between the years.

Good luck!
