Hasn't moved since 1997

Post by loneridercustoms »

Hello I acquired a 1964 kg60 hardtop recently in Canada. Needless to say parts are scarce and this one has been parked torn apart since 1997 with a bad reverse idler gear I hunted for nearly 2 weeks for one. no luck so I welded the missing tooth and had a new bushing and pin made for it now its nearly back together and ready to try moving under its own power I would post pictures but Dont know how

It looks to be in pretty solid condition. Love the Rising Sun logo on the door. I wonder what the story is behind that.
Beyond any hope for intervention

I'm not 100% sure previous owner said he bought it from an rm it was used for volunteer fire dept. Then he had it repainted but whoever did it used way too much filler everywhere when the steel itself appears to be in fairly straight solid condition for the most part. The logo appears to be very well done I assume it was done to recreate what was there originally but I don't know enough about them.
