G60 Project for sale ( 70-80% Completed )

Hello All,

My name is Brian Kostrba, and I've been a Datsun/Nissan enthusiasts for as long as I can remember. I started my own business 12+ yrs ago around the Datsun Zcar ( Z Car Customs-JDM ) http://www.zccjdm.com.
I'm telling you this to start off, as to introduce myself, and to help give validity to the following vehicle sale.

Now on to business........... It's always a very sad day when you or a family member ( in this case my father ), reach that point in life when your body is not able to do what the mind wants. My father has recently had a medical battle that has left him to weak to continue his Patrol project. I myself would love to finish it, but have to many projects with my business to take this on....So with all sadness, I am going to help him sell his project to someone who can take it the last distance to completion.

Now this isn't my dads first go-round with restoring a G60.... David Polluck, who is a member here, purchased my dads first restoration project a few years ago. David's G60 has had the same restoration as was started on this vehicle. I've attached a few photos of Davids G60 at a show this weekend. What you see, is exactly how we shipped it to him. All work done by my father, right down to even the grease in the axles. Not a single item was not rebuilt, refurbished, or cleaned up to as close to OE as possible. David will chime in on his own to vouch for what I have shown, and said here. *( This is David G60)

I will be following up this add today, with details and photos of the G60 we are selling. At this time, the drivetrain, and chassis has been completely rebuilt. Almost all panels are down to metal, but the entire rig has, or had been disassembled.
I will be placing the rear bed on the body, with the top, and will have all other parts stacked and laid nice and safe in the back. Literally at this time, you could finish the wiring, slap a crate down, and after firing up drive the chassis around( which would be kinda funny to see.LOL )

At this time, I would say the restoration is roughly 70%+ finished ( maybe even more like 80% ).... For the most part, all that is left is the body/Paint, electrical wiring, and interior...I will be listing photos of as many of the parts that are all part of the project.

I'm located in Central Oregon.... I also can provide transportation arrangements from my location to California / Arizona / Nevada, by a very good friend of mine who owns his own business. He is reasonable on shipping prices, and very reliable. This is the same associate that transported Davids G60 to him.

One bit of educational info for you: The Patrols in the US are L60s, G60s are in Australia. A G60 is right hand drive; an L60 is left hand drive.

YEAR: 1966 G60 Nissan Patrol.

The chassis is a bit dirty from sitting outside this summer, but was completely repainted, and all axles,brakes, bearings, shocks,engine, tranny, transfer case, clutch, all gone through and replaced and rebuilt.
Head completed disassembled, valve job, seals etc...... bottom end the same.

Panels are all in good shape...... included with this will be a PTO Winch system. I recently found the connecting drive box in AU to complete the system. Very hard to find, near impossible in the U.S.
I also have a complete parts motor that will go with the sale. arrangements on how to ship that will need to be discussed.

This is 1 of 2000 Hard Tops ever imported to the U.S.

Thanks for that info.. I actually never knew that, but this isn't exactly my thing.

I can and do vouch for Brian as a stand-up guy and he and his dad did great restoration work on my Patrol. Brian's dad is a retired machinist, so between the two of them, they have all the bases covered. I expect this second truck has benefited from the lessons learned restoring my truck, and the restoration work done to date to be first rate.
I had never bought a car sight unseen and never expected to, but Brian and I corresponded and then talked extensively and I came to trust him enough to hit the Buy button on eBay. I have had her for almost a year now and she came exactly as advertised (including full disclosure of a carb issue, fixed with an inexpensive rebuild) and with all the photos of the restoration. Brian, at my request, did some additional work after the sale for a reasonable price, helped with the shipping, and even continued to answer questions as they came up.

I recently was invited to participate in the Orinda Car Show by its organizer after he saw my Patrol on the street and, although she looked a bit out of place next to the Ferraris, Cobras, and Aston Martins, she showed well and received a lot of positive comments. I will post a couple other pics soon.

Please take a close look at the truck and pass the info on to anyone you think might be interested. Although offering an unfinished project for sale always raises questions, this project was interrupted by a tragedy and you can have confidence that the work that is complete was done well. I think $5k is a great price.
