I have been bitten by the g60 bug
Fixed it up and got it registered. Love the fact that it is nice and simple. Not a computer in sight in the car. Well....Only the 60patrol site on my tablet.
One of the best things i have found is a high energy ignition kit from jaycar (hobby electronic store) here in oz. It uses the points as a sensor and it handles the high current for the coil, so the points wont burn out.
And here we go again
76 swb g60 patrol with original interior and skinny tyres. I have built the HEI kit for this as well and she purrs like a kitten. Well see you around the forum.

Can you provide a bit more information on the high energy ignition kit you used? How does it work with the standard G60 setup?
I just looked at Jaycar and there are a few kits available - programmable and non- programmable.
Was it difficult to install?
Thanks

Hi
The kit is kc-5513. Built to the points version.
Once the kit is built it is simple to install. Only 4 wires. I put the box in the glove box and ran the wires through the firewall to connect.
A useful feature of this kit is it will turn off the coil after 10 seconds of no activity from the points. Yay no more burnt out coils or points
