Anyone ever seen a P-engine water pump without the grease fitting?

The El Paso green suicide machine (hey, that rhymes... ) does not have a zerk on the water pump- I even poked around with a punch to see if the hole had just been clogged up, and then painted over, but there is no hole, and the flat boss that the zerk should mount on is also not there - the cast fin extends into where the boss and the zerk would be.

You are correct in your assumption. The later, and replacement, water pumps did not have the grease fitting. There aren't too many around, I'm surprised that your red one is still running that style pump.

What are you talking about? My red Patrol is a 100% original, numbers matching 1962 model

late reply on this thread. ive got a pump from a 65 that i tore apart. it needs a complete rebuild and the shaft ( red brass) i beleive has roll pin the goes through the impleler and shaft to hold them together. fo the life of me i cant seem to get the pin out? has anyone been able to get theirs out? any tips or advice would be appreciated
