Hi all
Since the optional cigarette lighter does not show up in the wiring diagrams I was looking through yesterday, I thought I'd ask...
Are there any bullet connectors hidden underneath the black electrical tape in the under dash harness for this option ?
Or is the complete run missing from the whole harness for trucks that didn't specify this option when new ?
(PFPatrol is a 1968 model btw)
PFPatrol has a cigarette lighter housing & knob courtesy of Leslie, but no heating element inside of it.
Unless you tell me otherwise I was going to look for a 240Z cigarette lighter to raid for the heating element ...
I'd probably look to the 240Z as well to see what size fuse to run with it.
I don't smoke, but having the option to charge a phone would be nice.
PFPatrol used to have a CB in it, so I found a working early 70s Realistic (made in Japan) 23channel unit and am putting that in as well, in the same location as where it used to be.
Wondering if you all would suggest one source of switched power over another from the under dash harness?
I was thinking of tapping the heater switch since the CB fuse is only 2A and I can't imaging it being a big draw on power, or if I also just create a new run for it ?
Thanks as always,

Re: Cigarette lighter & switched power
I think I've used the windshield wiper power in the past for a CB. The dash light is another source you could use, but I don't think it's switched.
Beyond any hope for intervention
