Front Fenders & Bib

Greeting to all, but specifically to those flush with fenders!

Just a reminder if anyone has rust free front fenders and a bib I sure would be interested in buying them.

What's a bib? Is that the inner-fender piece? I have 2 of those sitting out in my shed that I can easily part with. I want $10,000 for each one (just kidding I'm in a goofy mood this morning )

Are you in urgent need? I do have a pair of front fenders on one of my parts-donors that both have minor rust-through spots above the side vents (easily repairable), but I wasn't really planning to break that rig down and part it out, for another several months.

I'd like to get those fenders torn off the rig, and fully inspected, to see what the real condition is, before I committed to send them to someone else (I don't like selling junk, any more than buyers like getting junk, hahah)

What about the replacement fenders from Citroa? Have you looked into those?

The fender vent assembly on the Citron fender are incompatible with his Patrol.

I do have fenders that would work but I have no way to ship them.

shipping large bulky items with Greyhound is usually pretty affordable...

I used the fenders from my 67 to build ones for my 69. Though the vent assemblies are incompatible, a little drilling and re-welding is needed to change the duct and flapper assemblies. That being said, I have all the parts to convert the Citroa ones to an early version. There are also differences in the bolt pattern to the bulkhead, but that is easily overcome. Citroa = $$ though.

Thanks Rob, my fenders are repairable. I think they call the front piece the grill attaches to ....the bib?

Like I said, mine are repairable but I hate rust and Plateaucal's 67 pieces are in such good shape I am hoping to find good fenders and grill so when it is painted it is paint over good metal.

I will take some pictures of my vent area rust spots for comparison to yours. I am going to try to remove the rear tub myself this weekend. We will see.

Yes, Greyhound is a often overlooked option for shipping things like fenders. We used to use them for active biological samples....until one exploded...then we went to Fed Ex...until one exploded....this story repeats itself with other carriers until we discovered fermaldihyd...but is another very stinky story.
