Lake City, CO Patrol Swap Meet

Post by L60Boerne »

Here is a how the forum works together to keep Patrols in the field.

On September 16th I'm driving up from San Antonio with a Hard Top for Brain who is driving to meet me from California. He is bringing his old beat up hard top for possible use on CCV4, which will become stationed in Lake City. Then Plateaucal from Montrose is giving me his excess parts to take take to San Antonio. That is alot Patrolling going on there.

If you are in the area and want to drop in we can surely give you the coordinates.

Ummmmmm, you did not say you were bringing a Patrol with you. Not too sure I want to share my special space with another Patrol. It might be okay if you leave it up in your part of the mountains. :snooty:

Plateaucal,
We are certainly bringing up CCV4, I'm just not sure it makes this trip. It might. The plan is to bring it up from May through September. We might be getting organized too late this year but we generally starting planning about five minutes before we leave.
Patrolling with no Plan,

plateaucal, I did not realize you were in that part of CO. I just got back from a week and a half in Durango the first week of August. My cousin's cousin is from Montrose. He just took us to Moab for 3 days of Jeepin'. We then ran Black Bear Backwards the following weekend. I love that part of the world. When searching engineering jobs in the SW CO earlier this year, area I saw some kind of electrical sales job that was posted in Lake City, CO, but don't know that I would survive the 1st winter. :)

Then again, maybe I did know and forgot!

I just heard the quota has been reached with the arrival of Mr. L60Boerne. So sorry, we are full up. Just kidding of course, but our natural beauty has been discovered and there are reasons why people are flocking here. Lake City is a cool little town and close to lots of great outdoor adventure. Take up cross country skiing or something and you will be fine! Ice fishing on Blue Mesa is a really hot thing to do (about an hour down the road). You gotta be a little hard core around here.
