Want to sell my 69 Patrol

Post by Shootingstar »

I've had my garaged patrol for over 20 years and it's time to sell it. I'd love to sell it to
a Patrol aficionado, or wannabe. It's in great running shape with very little rust. Has a power take-off, electric winch and all stock parts including front and back seats. Top was stored under some trees so it's probably not in too good of shape rust wise. It has all new brakes, new clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder, with very good tires. New stock fuel pump as well. Has about 115,000 miles on the speedo. It seldom gets driven more than 20 miles a year with short hops on the property. It's Japanese military themed camo painted, original owner had it done. Pictures on this site, posted by me. Is $5000 a reasonable price? Previous owner was a lady who used it as a commute vehicle.

Hello, new here, I've missed out on buying many recently. I'm not looking for the restored 10-15k ones I see, but all the ones in the 2-4K range I've missed. Most of these have been in Seattle, Oregon, Utah, etc.. I'm in Ohio.

I'm interested if you can let me know roadworthyness. Rust areas. Overall good & bad.

I'd be looking to paint it as I have a look in mind. Thanks for posting it.

Price? Thanks.
Jerry

Hi Jerry, rust is minuscule on the body. The top and sides, which I immediately removed when I bought it, had a rusty top. I put it under some trees and haven't looked at it for many years. The top doors however were put in the attic so they are in great condition. Low Kelley Blue Book is $9000 but I only want $5000. Contact me at joelcsuty@gmail.com if you want to continue to discuss.

I super- dig that camo-job... 8-) I've always wanted to camo one of my 4x4's, but every time the opportunity came up, I ended up chickening out

Good luck with the sale!

My apologies I just saw the responses.
I appreciate the updates, it might be a little high for me currently only due to way too many cars!
I never want to offend or "low ball" someone. I'm more in the 3500 or less as my wife wanted to duplicate an all white one we missed out on in Charleston SC recently.
I am probably selling one of the Lancia's soon and would be better to have the room for it physically & to make a few changes. Very cool truck as is though!
I'll keep in touch, please update us if any changes.
Thank you
Jerry

@zed
Too funny, they are sweet little fun cars, these are all the Beta version. Zagatos.
Own 4 of them currently I'm on Instagram @Lancia_hunter.
All 81-82s. Very underrated drivers, fun to run...unique

I'm a big fan of Patrols, Land cruiser, Broncos, Grand Wagoneers always have been.
I had a land cruiser, but would love a Patrol always seem to miss them or too far away

I understand your dilemma Jerry. Money is important. You can buy a cheaper one but spend
a lot of time and money to get into a good condition. Condition is everything in these old buggers.
Mine is unusual in its condition and always been California dry. Will require the right buyer to appreciate what they’re
getting. But a guy has to work within a budget I understand Jerry. Good luck in your search.

Well said, I agree completely with you. I'll keep you posted as I'm hoping to free up space as well as I'm in Ohio and like to keep all the cars inside. I'm simply out of space as well as dedicated to many funds on current ones. I appreciate the response and will keep an eye out if it's still for sale as I'm going to list one of my cars soon on Bat. Thanks
Take care.
