power steering

Has anyone out there converted their Patrol to power steering? What does it take?

It took me months! I did 50 push ups before bed everynight and started hitting the gym about 3 times a week. Now my power steering seems to work much better! Grant

Nah, Grant, it doesn't take months. I just made my steering wheel 4 feet in diameter. Sure, nobody can sit in the passenger seat, and I can't close the driver's side door, but it is a HELL of alot easier to turn the wheel now. VJK

The easiest, most economical way of converting to power steering, taking the least time, money and effort, is to sell the patrol and buy a land rover (woof)

Or buy a Scout II. My Scout II will turn a tighter U-turn than my Subaru would, not to mention the Patrol, and it has power steering and a nice big steering wheel. The 304" has plenty of power run the pump. I have not considered going to power steering. Not without doing an engine swap as well. What a pain.
