50Car's Red 66 "Noggin"
Originally bought Noggin about 5 years ago. Since then its has gathered dust and been waiting for some attention. This last winter, I decided that it needed to be taken care of. So... Where does the name Noggin come from you ask, Did I knock my head on it at some point? No the vehicle originally came from north of the Okanogan area in the state where I live (Washington). So we shortened the name to Noggin... During prior ownership of the vehicle, it had been rolled. The entire driver's side was bent, beaten and bondo'd. The windshield and top have been replaced with a newer (69) vintage top. The front fenders and the tub have much rust. As part of the rebuild process, the rust is being removed and where pieces are available, replacement parts are going on. Is it pristine and show room worthy... no far from it but it is getting better looking.

Part 2 of Noggin's rebuild. This section focuses on the driver's side of the tub. As the vehicle had been rolled, the top rear of the tub rail and fender was munched. Decided the only way to repair was to cut the offending rusty and bent sections off and replace and repaint... So here are the pics of the driver's side repair

Outstanding repairs!
Thanks for sharing and showing so much detail of the repairs. Your fabrication skills are great.
What paint will you apply underneath the repaired panels?

Lookin’ better every year!
To my old eyes, the new paint color looks like the original on my 68/69.
What paint type and color code are you using?

For the weak... Cover your eyes and ears... It's International Harvestor red farm and ag paint. The brand is Van Syckle. The local ranch and home supply store had it on the shelf.
