67 patrol owner need help with registry

I pickup up a 67 patrol.had no title went to California dmv and they said I need some sort of proof my Vin is legit with paperwork.do you guys have the registry list to show chp my Vin is the correct.wont let me post image of Vin or frame number.

Welcome to 60Patrol! :text-welcomeconfetti: I PM'd you with some tips for DMV reg.

To post pictures they usually need to be resized to no larger that 1280 x 1040 pixels and less than 2 mb. See if that fixes the problem.

Thanks for the replay been busy working sorry.i have the Vin tags in place as well as the frame vin.the problem is if you run the Vin it comes up as a 66 DeVille.chp needs proof that is an original vin.if I could find the registry I could show them my Vin number is close to other years in sequence.vin # l6010182

If you could post pictures it would be helpful. This is our own Registry: http://www.60patrol.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1685 . Your VIN does fall right in line for a '67. It's just what we have created over time but by no means is it official enough for CHP. The VIN stamped on the frame should be proof enough that it is the original VIN. Something like that is pretty hard to tamper with. Be sure that first character is being entered as an 'L' and that the dash is added. Like this "L60-10182". DMV drops title records after so many years if it's inactive, so it may not even be in the system any longer.
