Cheap Marks 5speed on ebay

Tempted as I am to grab this for spares - I figures I should give someone else a chance to get a Marks 5speed. Currently starting bid of $500AUD.

Located in Teesdale Victoria, the listing doesn't say much, just: Marks adapters 5sp and Transfer case out of 77 G60 patrol, 5th gear has a knock other than that seemed fine

Completely your own risk - but they don't seem to come up often.

How hard are these to get rebuilt stateside? Anyone have an idea regarding shipping costs, guessing a few hundred. For this price, I'm thinking I might pull the trigger.

I forked over $600 (or was it $800...? ) to have DHL ship mine, 6 years ago. The seller had to empty it, and crate it up.

If you're willing to sell it for what this would cost I'm interested. Sadly I have neither $6k nor the space for the whole kit & kaboodle.

I'm lucky to know someone in AU and I've already talked to her, so getting it shipped wouldn't be difficult.
